How a kitchen brief works

Post the role for free and tell us what the kitchen is actually like: the style of food, the number of covers, the service pattern, the size of the brigade, the section the person will run and the salary or hourly rate you are offering. A member of the JobsPronto team reads every submission and comes back within 48 hours, often with a question or two, so the role we publish describes the job the chef will walk into.

We then put the role in front of London chefs who fit it. You decide who to meet. Most kitchens run a trial shift before offering, and we arrange that with the candidate and keep them informed afterwards, whichever way it goes.

Permanent, contract and cover

Not every kitchen vacancy is permanent. A refurbishment, a pop-up, a maternity cover or a seasonal site may need a chef on a contract with a clear end date, and JobsPronto recruits for those on the same terms.
